CREATING MANDALAS: FOR HEALING, RELAXATION & ENJOYMENT

Facilitator: Victoria Van Zandt

The word "mandala" comes from the classical Indian language of Sanskrit and simply translates to "circle."  Cultures around the world have used mandalas since the beginning of time for meditation, healing and as C.G. Jung believed, "to connect to the unconscious"

In this two-hour workshop, we will use colored pencils and pastels to create mandala drawings. I will introduce techniques and themes to approach your drawing and discuss how mandalas can aid in healing, meditation and relaxation. Most of all, you will learn how to create your own mandala and discover the benefits of working with the sacred circle.
